In 2025, nine years after the Kigali Amendment committed nations to phasing down HFC propellants, the first low carbon pressurised Metered Dose Inhaler (pMDI) received regulatory approval. It was a landmark moment for the inhalation industry, and a signal that the transition to low Global Warming Potential (GWP) propellants has moved decisively from ambition to reality.
