Developing and launching pressurised Metered Dose Inhalers (pMDIs) with alternative low Global Warming Potential propellants such as HFO-1234ze has become an urgent task to sustain a supply of life-saving medicines to patients. 

This formulation solution feasibility study tested shot weight, delivered dose, inhaler life, aerodynamic particle size distribution, spray pattern and leak rate for use with HFO-1234ze pMDIs.
