Timeline

1959
Bespak began by supplying valves for cosmetics and consumer markets (King’s Lynn).

1968
Gained contract with GSK for Ventolin, thus entering the pharmaceutical market.

1975
Moved to King’s Lynn where Bespak remains today.

1997
Awarded Diskus® manufacturing contract by GSK.

1999
Launched HFA valve to replace CFC variant.

2005
Awarded Chiesi Nexthaler Development and Manufacturing contract

2007
Bespak acquires Integrated Aluminium Components

2009
Bespak acquires The Medical House, a specialist in auto injectors.

2010
500 millionth Diskus® device manufactured for GSK.

2011
Entered point of care diagnostics market in partnership with Atlas Genetics.

2011
Entered point of care diagnostics market in partnership with Binx Healthcare

2013
Unveiled Syrina®, Vapoursoft® and Lila® range of innovative injection devices.
Secured first MHRA licence for commercial drug handling.

2014
Acquisition of Aesica Pharmaceuticals by Consort Medical plc.

2014
Regulatory approval and launch of Bespak’s first auto-injector.
Agreement with SteadyMed for development of wearable infusion delivery device.

2015
2 billionth HFA MDI Valve manufactured.
Bespak brings into operation, at it’s King’s Lynn site, the UK’s largest cleanroom at the time of construction.
Development agreement with Precision Ocular.
Unveiled Syrina® VapourSoft® 2.25ml injection devices.

2016
Announced industrialisation and manufacture of Mylan DPI.
Regulatory approval and UK launch for UCB autoinjector with Bespak ASI® technology.
Signed AstraZeneca pMDI agreement.

2017
750 millionth Diskus® device manufactured for GSK.

2018
Bespak Injection Moulding Academy opened.

2019
Awarded Regeneron contract
FDA approval for Mylan’s generic Advair

2020
Bespak acquired by Recipharm
FDA approval of Oral Integrated Dose Counter
